Grilled Lemon Herb Cod Fish
Ingredients:
- 4 cod fish loins
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil) for garnish
Instructions:
Please note all seafood should be cooked to a minimal internal temperature of 145°F
-
Preheat your grill to medium heat.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
-
Place the cod loins in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure that each loin is evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate the fish.
-
While the fish is marinating, lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
-
Carefully place the cod loins on the preheated grill. Close the lid and grill for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Be cautious not to overcook the fish, as it can become dry.
-
Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
-
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve the grilled cod fish with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
- Accompany the dish with your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a light salad.
Enjoy the succulent and tender grilled cod fish with its delightful blend of herbs and zesty lemon notes. It's a satisfying and healthy option for seafood lovers.
